Epic Games Charge on Your Bank Statement

Epic Games is a gaming company. Epic Games runs Fortnite and the Epic Games Store, billing for V-Bucks, game purchases and in-game items. Charges vary by purchase, and there is no standard subscription, so identical recurring amounts are uncommon. They typically appear as EPIC GAMES on your statement. It may appear on your bank statement under a shortened descriptor rather than its full name.

Epic Games is a well-known, legitimate company. Most charges from this merchant are authorised and relate to purchases or subscriptions you signed up for. If you don't recognise the charge, check your email for a receipt or log into your Epic Games account to review recent activity.

To cancel Epic Games, log in to your account on their website and navigate to your account or subscription settings. Alternatively, contact their customer support directly. Once cancelled, no further charges should be taken. If you have already been charged and wish to recover the money, contact your bank to raise a dispute.

If you do not recognise a charge from Epic Games, call the number on the back of your bank card or use your bank's mobile app to raise a dispute. Explain that you do not recognise the transaction and ask for a chargeback. Under Visa and Mastercard rules you typically have up to 120 days from the transaction date to raise a chargeback claim.
